December 2010 – The Castle Group takes Honorable Mention at PSPE Philly Chapter OEA

On December 2, 2010, the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineering held the Delaware Valley Outstanding Engineering Awards Dinner at McCall Conference Center in Upper Darby, PA. The Castle Group’s work on the Race Street Pier Substructure Rehabilitation Design competed against SEPTA’s Silverline V, CBS-3’s Mobile Weather Lab and Maida Engineer’s Modifications to Update Essential Electric Generation. Each firm was given 15 minutes to present their project and was followed by a 5 minute Q&A session. The judges had a difficult deliberation as each project proved to demonstrate engineering challenges and innovative solutions, the importance of the engineering profession to society and clear benefits to the Delaware Valley Region.

The Castle Group was awarded Honorable Mention along with Maida Engineering. Most notable award was given to CBS-3 and top honors went to SEPTA. We at The Castle Group are honored to be in the company of such excellence. Congratulations to everyone on great engineering and presentations!
